Now, we’ve made it even easier for you to get your yearbook!  In a partnership with Jostens, our yearbook printer, we are offering a service that allows you to purchase your yearbook from home.  We will mail all of the details about the yearbook offer directly to your home including the price of the book, the ordering deadline and information on any other yearbook items that are available.  Plus, you no longer need to remember to bring your money to school, since you will purchase your yearbook by mail, the Internet (www.jostensyearbooks.com) or by calling toll-free 1-866-282-1516.  It’s an easy and convenient way to purchase your yearbook.

The 2011-2012 Ankeny High School Yearbook staff is set and ready to start working on our yearbook.  We are excited about our new look and have some creative ideas for making this book come alive.  To ensure that proper corrections and proofing can be made, please be sure to respect the deadline dates for each section. 

The first deadline that is extremely important is the senior portrait.  Each senior is expected to have a professional portrait taken.  The senior portrait is due on December 16, 2011.  All portraits must come to Ankeny High School at Ms. Davenport’s attention. As you think about the photograph for the yearbook, we have a few guidelines that we want you to follow:

1.     All photographs must be turned in digitally.  Most photographers will send me what you want, or you could e-mail or send a CD of the photograph you want.  Any photograph not turned in digitally will not be in the 2011-2012 yearbook. 

2.     All photographs must be in color.  Any black and white or black and white with color highlights will not be accepted in the yearbook.

3.     We prefer a headshot (head and shoulders) of the senior with no props (cars, hats, pets, etc.).  Any photograph with a prop will not be accepted.

4.     We prefer a headshot (head and shoulders) of the senior, but do not think this needs to be a portrait shot indoors.  Many senior pictures taken outdoors are used as long as it is a closer photograph of the senior.

The second major deadline is the “senior baby” ads.  Information regarding  “baby ads” form with sizes and costs is attached. The “senior baby” ads will be due December 16, 2011. If you need ideas concerning the “baby ads,” check the last few yearbooks to see how others have done them.

Business ads are always welcomed in our book. See our enclosed pricing list and package descriptions.
